I open up the Smack for the first time after the 4 day run and discuss its condition. I forgot to mention in the vid that I never had to refill the bubbler - not even once.

  • Smack, is the check valve intended to allow outside air into the smack booster or allow the hydroxy gas to go out? I definitely want to avoid a smack collapse on my unit.

    Also, great job on your research!!! It's people like you who end up changing the world for the better.

  • There is no collapsing Smack unit anymore since the recent upgrades. Problem solved.

  • excellent disclosure!

    amazing though that 4 thousand fools have viewed this and only 5 people have commented and only 7 have voted..

    ya'll better rekanize!

  • Give it time, the word is spreading. It takes time, but once the ball is rolling there will be no stopping it.

  • Does the coating actually affect the performance? or is it just something that looks bad?

  • It didn't effect performance

  • I'm already doing this - made it after the rally.

  • I am new to this stuff but how about putting a makeup water reserve and attach it to the check valve? It would be like a radiator system on a car.

  • Could be Class 3 Rouge on the plates? This type of rouge is the high temperature reaction product of steam with the iron in the stainless steel forming magnetite. The reaction appears to take place in two steps:

    3Fe0 + H2O --> FeO + Fe2O3 + H2 FeO + Fe2O3 --> Fe3O4

    Where are you purchasing the wall plates from? I am having trouble finding 316-317L ss ones.

  • It could be that. Not having a chemistry lab, I really don't know.
