A quickie using very lo-fi footage (shot in Galston & Biggar Nov10 & May11.)

I'd gaze out of the window in my room
I'd sit and dream of going on tour with Mr Boom
But reality tore my dreams apart and I grew up far too soon
And spent my years just dawdling around

Met a girl and thought I was blessed
We moved in together, she got clinically depressed
I'd stare out of the window like a bored unwelcome guest
When I left I think it was for the best

Auld Scotia I cannot quite remember
What I saw through that window in the west
Deja Vu and amnesia at the same time
Slip through my fingers like a handful of dust

I voted Labour for a bet
I voted Labour to see what I would get
Half a million dead Iraqis and a hundred years of debt
And a decade I'm trying to forget

I'm going to tell you the truth
So cast aside the dreams you have and the memories of your youth
You leap straight from the frying pan into the horses mouth
And there's no choice when shove comes to push

I'm staring out the window in this room
Still dreaming of playing guitar on the stage with Mr Boom
Reality tears our dreams apart and we grow up far too soon
And we stop looking out for the man in the moon
