Three Airads Boeing Stearmans executing a formation job overhead Super Bowl XXXII in San Diego, California USA on January 25, 1998. You're in the field as these vintage modified Bi-Planes race in to launch and then drop the Aerial Billboards. Formation flights generate amazing awareness especially when pulled with large radial engines. Flying the #1 Stearman is twenty-eight year old Paul MacDonald. #2 Pilot is twenty-three year old Dan Kurtzfeld and the #3 is flown by squadron leader, sixty-nine year old Milos Tichacek. Aircraft and crew of eleven traveled over two thousand miles to execute this four day job with less than seven days notice.

  • Those 3 stearman biplanes sound exactly like SNJ Texan Trainers.

  • Amazing... I never knew. I learn something every day.
