  • My father bought a '63, 4-door, metallic blue Fury with a little gold square underneath the front side "Fury" logos that said "Golden Commando". He got a good deal on it ($3K new) but didn't know what he was buying. We didn't time 0-60 but it did 0-100 in much less than 15 sec. We moved from W. NY to LA and had to get rid of it because of perpetual overheating problems (such as going to Palm Springs). Our family car was a "muscle car". And I'm now 63 and have had all the trills I ever want.

  • Thanks for stopping by and it sounded like you had a real gold mine on your hands and that it gave you some good memories. I hope to be able to say the same thing you said when I turn 63,,,life,,,it should always be an adventure.

  • Very cool car. Reminds me of my dad's two door 63 Fury III that he bought new. It was two tone, turqois green body with a white top and gold anodized side moldings. I remember the glowing green transmission push buttons, which I thought were the coolest thing ever. My friends could never figure out how the car shifted! Dad sold it for $800 one month before my 16th birthday in 1976, so I never got to drive it. I still miss it.

Thanks! We're currently building a 383 that's going to replace the 361, and I'm cleaning up the engine bay. Can't wait to get'r done. You need to find yourself a MOPAR!!

  • this car was ahead of it's time built like a tank and had every gadget available and it looked good but mom was always given away buy the marker lights I would see her cumin and ditch her push button shifting was the coolest and it was kinda quick for a big car

  • My Mom and Dad bought a 63 Sport Fury "Demo" at the end of the model year, Dad wanted a car that would tow his new 24 foot water ski boat. The car had a Max Wedge and was fire engine red with all the bells and whistles,oh yeah, it towed the boat alright, I got to drive the car when I was learning to drive. Mom got rid of it cause I liked the car too much, it was freakishly fast and actually down right dangerous with a 16 year old at the helm.....damn I miss that car

  • @ensenadaslim

Sounds great. Dad's car had a "Commando" 383 with 4bbl and factory dual exhausts. Provided plenty of "get up and go".

  • Great job on the video, a must see for mopar lovers, got a 68 im buildin, wouldve loved the smaller platform but sooo hard to find!

  • Awsome car, I have a 63 plymouth fury im restoring too. Check out my channel 2 see it.

  • Wow! Fabulous video. My family had a '63 Plymouth Fury when I was a kid growing up in Hollywood, CA - circa - late 70s. We use to go cruising the Blvd. What memories. I wish we still had the car - sadly it was traded to some guy who totalled it. She lives on forever in my dreams!
