Frances Schreuder was one of the most sociopathic, evil murderers that ever lived. She's right up there with Charles Manson and Aileen Wuornos and Ted Bundy, except for one thing: she killed her OWN FATHER for his MONEY.

Terrific mini-series. Thanks for posting LBColby.
I appreciate all the extra info and the links above.
The mother's reaction is wild --- how did she not feel anger towards her daughter??
It's unfortunate that Frances was able receive her inheritance (and in face to profit from her crime in the end).

That is a lie. Overwhelming evidence proved that Frances Schreuder was a cold-blooded murderer.

erm, You are very one sided just like this movie is. If you knew any real details about this case, you would clearly see that the real murderer was Marilyn Reagan, there was a reason she got no money when berniece died. Marilyn is the one who put marc up to killing Mr. Bradshaw. Frances was completely innocent of this crime.

I beg your pardon?
Words fail when it comes to commenting on the sheer nerve of that woman. Evil and vile and doesn't Lee Remick just bring her to life?
Once again LB, thank-you. I've so appreciated watching this extraordinary show. How I wish it was on DVD...xoxo

You're very welcome. I can only second that wish - although I have this copy of 'Nutcracker', it would make me very, very happy if it was released on DVD and I could have it in high quality that this exceptional miniseries deserves.
