Otaku are the weirdos though. Normal people might have an interest in anime/manga. But otaku do nothing BUT watch anime/read manga/build figurines. They're creepy IRL. Totally different to what weeaboo-kiddies think of otaku. If you say you are otaku in Japan... you're going to creep out more people than impress them. Just sayin'~

Okay...Mostly young men? Socialy inept? Obsessed? no...Okay...i'm an otaku. I'm a 19 year old GIRL. I have a BOYFRIEND and ive been with him for 3 years. therefor i socialize. I go out, hang out with friends, most of which aren't otakus and I hardly spend anytime at home. I do cosplay and i do co to expos but im not obsessed...I wish people wouldn't think of us as weirdos :(
