When a seven-year-old California boy was shot during a botched robbery on a family vacation in Italy, his parents donated his organs to seven very sick Italians. The decision captured the world's imagination, a movie starring Jamie Lee Curtis was made and thousands of people are alive who would have died. • What an AWESOME family! I've met Reg and he is still so passionate about organ donation. This pubically posted video will go a long way in furthering the cause. Thank you for posting it!

  • This is truly amazing and must have be hard for the parents I actually met the Aunt of Nicholas. He was her first Nephew and meant a lot to the family. I learned of this when she came into my class to do a speech about it

  • Such a sweet boy. The Greens must be very enlightened to give the gift of life after their sweet Nicholas was killed on holiday in Italy. Designated Organ Donation increased well over 50% in Italy after the generous gift from the Greens, donating Nicholas' organs.

I've visited Nicolas' grave while up in the area. Didn't have to look hard. The grave was covered with toys.

  • i grew up down the street from the greens, eleanor was my childhood friend, nickolas was my big brothers best friend. such a sad story, R.I.P

  • Nicholas was one of my best friends back in kindergarten and first grade. I moved away before all this happened and had no idea. I was trying to find Nicholas and was hoping to catch up with him when I came across this today. It's so heartbreaking knowing that I'll never be able to see him again. However, knowing how Nicholas has changed the world makes me so proud to be his friend. Wherever you are Nicholas, I hope you're doing well. We'll definitely catch up one of these days for sure.

  • nicholas green was my cousin. my name is nick also. i was only 4 when he died but it still hurts, at the same time it makes me feel good that he helped so many people. im a firefighter and ive devoted my whole life to saving lives so i can really appreciate this.. ur a good kid nick ill be seeing you soon cuz

  • My grandpa Ed Bettencourt made a belltour for him

  • i've read the book about Nicholas. i think everything can happen anytime in everywhere, but the most respectable thing of the family is that they really know Nicholas, and developed his dreams... Nicholas "is" really a great kid, and this is all i can say.

  • I am sincerely sorry for what happened. the film had seen years before and had very wept. that's me for years not from the head. I'm sorry for my bad english hope it is readable.
