The relationship between the human beings with their surrounding natural elements can be best analyzed by explaining their activities. The imprudent activities of the so called intelligent man are exerting a great impact on the various aspects of the nature directly or indirectly. It clearly indicates that nature, will one day, loose its tolerance creating a huge and irreparable destruction of lives, which will have to be faced by our future generations. The entire world is deeply concerned about this serious issue and so are we. The snow of the Himalayas is rapidly melting due to global warming. The time has come for us to be conscious of this matter and to take strong and effective measures against it. It has become a key issue to give continuity to the relationship between man and the environment and contribute to balance the nature. The likely impacts of climate change that could be seriously felt in the Himalayas and middle mountains would be in terms of snow melting. The snow-capped mountains, which in the past, were considered a difficult task for the mountaineers to conquest, now has been converted into bare, lifeless and disgusting rocky monsters, as if they are teasing the whole mankind.
The melting of the snow may cause the breaking of the banks of the ice lakes due to the excess accumulation of the melted snow leading it to explode. Nearly 50 lakes, high in the Himalayas, could burst their banks sending millions of gallons of deadly floodwaters swirling down valleys, endangering tens of thousands of lives. The lakes are rapidly being filled with icy water as rising temperatures in the region accelerate the melting of glaciers and snowfields that feed them.
We can imagine the huge devastation that can affect the people living in the Himalayas and the nearby areas. It's the greatest crisis to be faced by the mankind and threatens the very survival of human beings.
We hope that we unitedly can help in maintaining the ecological balance through this campaign. We urge you to feel the silent and frail cry of the mountains through our eyes.
