Oscar, the 4.5-month-old coton de tulear, is doing a few tricks. I adopted him 3 wks ago, and now he's doing sit, come, stand-up, down, stay, and 'where's your house? go to your house' tricks. It's this breed's inborn instinct to stand on the hind legs, so it's fairly easy to teach him to stand ( he's actully sitting up ). But it's not easy to teach him down. He's such a shy dog and down position is a very submissive position and he's just so fearful to stay down. Then he's got short legs. Whenever I put a piece of treat in front of him, he'll just walk towards it. But, but, but, finally, I've taught him!
