I picked up the new Fishman Soloamp from Portland Music Company today. This is a clip of my first run in my living room. Its a pretty good sized room that is typical of house concerts of done. Im using my SCGC 00, my favorite gig mic the AKG 214, and two Josephson C42's pointed at the Soloamp. I was able to get a volume that is more than enough for a house concert, and Im very happy with the tone. Great rig. Looking forward to gigs this weekend! My website is ericskye.com

  • Congrats. It's a great amp.

Since I made this vid I've probably used it for fifty gigs and I still love it. The only thing I've changed is the mic. I now use an Audix VX5 as my main guitar mic.

  • Sorry, it's just an improvised thing on the standard Stella By Starlight. There's no tab or anything.

  • Hi Now that shows the true sound and really nice playing

  • Great sound, how do you find the solo amp for reliability, is it road worthy, or fragile to handle.

  • Lovely playing man...love to play some nice fretless bass with you sometime. Congrats on the new rig...sounds phenomenal! I'll drop you a line if I ever get down to Portland...

  • I got my soloamp a week ago and I am goin for the first gig tomorrow- I love the simple set up and very true sound. It really gives out what you play and sing! And man that its easy to set up!

  • Excellent, thanks for sharing. I use a Soloamp for my sax, I play tenor and was tired of lugging around a mackie powered speaker and a preamp unit with reverb (I grew weary of not being in control of my own volume during a gig). I had tried using a Bose L1 system but it was way too bright, it went back. The Soloamp has a very flat frequency response with excellent frequency controls. So far I've been using it for a year, practices and gigs, with zero issues. Great product!

  • very nice sound and verny nice tecnique

  • Really nice work--SoloAmp sounds great. I like the laid back style. Is it still working well for you? I just picked one up the other day, still getting use to it.

  • Great sound, just bought that amp today .

  • Eric,

On this day after the passing of Les Paul, it's nice to reflect on his instrument of choice and some nice chord work on 'Stella'.

    Peace,

    HHues, musician
