@InvisibleDisability I an a sophmore in college and went through a full day of testing through Voc Rehab - I have had a stroke, and they determined that I was unable to do college algebra. However, the powers that be at the college decided that would have to take it anyway. I work with the disability coordinator at the college and nothing she could do could change their minds. So I took the testing for nothing. I guess having a brain disorder didn't make any difference to these people.

@DeaneRenata OK, with your mom blaming SIN on those people who take advantage of you is a very out of focus, shitty explanation, no offense.We are all sinners but we all have minds and a heart..and to take advantage of someone who has a mind or physical disability is cruel...The problem is that us, people, as a human race are greedy, greed, self preservation and self reliance is what drives people to do evil things in this world and no its not just the Devil ( i too am Baptist)

Hi. I have a mental disorder so I do not think like everybody else. People who take advantage of the mentally disabled are a red light to me. I do care about what happens to me,l even if others do not - even if it means forming a lawsuit I want them to care about what I think and what my opinion is. My mom told me it was due to sin that people take advantage of the disadvantaged. Mom is a Baptist.

I knew I was different but I did not know that I had Asperger's Syndrome. I knew that I was bothered by bright light and often wore sunglasses in bright classes (not socially acceptable it turns out), especially if you are female. I became very focused on rules when I did my practicum and would challenge my advisors. It was difficult. I wish someone would have noticed that I had Asperger's Syndrome. I think I was simply labeled a trouble maker. I am glad I know about myself now.

the disability program at my college sucked! I am glad this one actually works with students. Not all schools are this good about disabilities which may not be seen.
