FTW Forschungszentrum Telekommunikation Wien Kibitzer Prototype

Looking at a prominent building and want to know more about it? Close your eyes for two seconds and like a sixth sense a voice in your ear will tell you what fancy bar is located inside. This novel use of eye tracking tools from SMI was presented two weeks ago by researchers of the The Telecommunications Research Center in Vienna (FTW Forschungszentrum Telekommunikation Wien). Engineers Matthias Baldauf, Peter Froehlich and Siegfried Hutter presented a prototype called Kibitzer which integrates a smart phone with GPS and an iView X™HED from SMI.
