Right outside of my dorm a police officer was shot and killed, with another shooting reported in a nearby parking lot. Quickly took this footage of what I could see. Certainly a sad day.

  • @3SGTO I would have been happy to turn in my firearm once I got into the stadium. I have shooting awards but I would still never fire into a crowd. The problem is, criminals often have no problem doing so and by your rule, he is the only one with a gun on the entire campus. So if dark alley rapes are the minority, we shouldn't do anything about them? Are you a rapist?

  • @3SGTO Did I not say I was going TO a game? Want me to repeat it again? I think concealed carry is better than open carry for a number of reasons. You would rather see mass shootings like VA Tech 4 years ago and that makes you as bad as the murderer himself in my opinion. When you go to a game, you park where you can! I now have a better idea. I no longer go to games and I think the campus should be sued for not protecting me when they wouldn't let me protect myself.

  • @astrofrk Let's be honest, most of the rapes that occur on campus have a hell of a lot more to do with alcohol than dark alleys and attackers.

So your saying that on the possibility that someone might sneak a gun into a game, you should be allowed to have one there? I ask again, if you don't have absolute certainty of hitting your mark, should you really be firing in a crowd of people?

  • @astrofrk Doesn't sound like you were mugged at a football game. I'm not talking about the right to carry off campus, which I support but don't personally do, I'm talking about the idea of concealed and open carry being appropriate on a school campus.

You park so far away that no one else can see you but the person doing the mugging? Well, at least finding a spot is easy.

  • @3SGTO Often, people would rather not get involved. Even if they were willing to help, "People" may not always be around. Of course it is best to diffuse the situation whenever one can but sometimes one cannot. Ever been mugged? I have and I learned but sometimes the victum of a crime doesn't get a second chance to learn. I tried to diffuse the situation and you weren't there to sweet talk the dudes that beat the shit out of me. Get real!

  • @3SGTO I didn't say I would use a firearm in a crowd. Did I not say: "While walking TO a game? If someone was determined enough, they could rind away around a metal detector. The more imortant matter is the rapes and other crimes that happen on college campus that could have been avoided. Why is a woman raped and strangled more moral to you than that woman having an ability to defend herself?

  • That's bullshit to happen twice. That's fucked up for someone to see it right outside their window. I'm starting to think that school is cursed.

  • lol thats the worst goddamn school ever, i dont even wanna go near it.

  • @astrofrk What's more, I've just got to know - if you are being wronged and threatened with violence, don't you think at least a few of the several thousand other people around would step in and help you? Short of a full on gunfight or a race to see who can fire first, I fail to see your fears. Attempting to diffuse the situation is a far better plan for everyone involved(you, the other party, and everyone else) than whipping out a pistol.

  • @astrofrk Not most likely, wouldn't. Don't pretend another gun nearby even had the chance of changing anything.

So you're saying that at a football game, with tailgating crowds all around the area and packed with people inside the coliseum, you would have no second thoughts about firing a pistol at someone and no fear of missing your mark, or anyone else missing their mark and hitting you?

They have metal detectors at the gates - how would you, or the threat, be getting a gun in there?
