Experience Jim's passion to breed and train great horses such as the world famous Smart Chic Olena and Remnick. Performance quarter horses are their multi million dollar business and they are very successful at what they do. Unlike some, Jim wants to share his success and years of learning with others. • I think I read something about this horses breeding fee going from 12,000 to 25,000 that's called suckin people dry. Yes he is pretty, but he is also older. Who could afford something like that. Way to much money for a breeding fee. Look at the cowboy that was just flopping around on his back.

  • Cutting horses are trained to work the cow by themselves. If the rider isn't up to the horse's capability, the rider can look bad, but it is because the horse is too good. Luckily the stud fee is for the stallion and not the rider.

  • The chance of getting a high quality horse from Chick blood is to breed to a known son like Chicks Achy Braky. This horse is a multiple Champion Cutting Horse in this century. Chick is great and his son standing on the Babcock Ranch is even better. The fee is five percent that of Chick. The breed fee went up so high on Chick to insure his future offspring are from very high quality mares, into a recognized training program. Jim wants to Chicks last offspingto be the best they can be.

  • though smarts chicks stud fee is high you do get your moneys worth, chicks babies have a great disposition and are very athletic....cutting and reining have become a really hot sport...i got the pleasure to groom alot of chicks babys at there annual sale at gainsville, texas......

  • Smart Chic Olena is our quarter horse's grandsire. He's athletic and smart like Chic. Great line.

  • My first horse was out of him!

  • He is not the only one that has that kind of fee on him. Peptoboonsmal is another. But you get what you pay for folks! If I had that kind of money I would not hesitate to breed to him. Of course, you have to have the money for the rich sport of cutting just like anything else.

  • yah. that horse is good though you can tell

  • i love smart chic olena i have the breyer of him and he is one of favorites:)

    great video!!!!
