  • Kudos for subtitles :)

  • Hardtack has funny nick names: "tooth dullers," "sheet iron," "worm castles" or "molar breakers". "worm castles"- insect infested hardtack - extra protein if eat it whole.

  • Most of the time, the hardtack was perfectly fine and fit to eat. Sometimes it got mold or bugs and they had to eat it anyway because they had nothing else. This situation made the headlines, of course, but the vast majority of the time it was well-preserved and palatable -- after proper preparation!

  • That's an impressive shelf life!

  • damn hardtack, it's even have mark for 65 oz. must be worth more then gold, eat that inflation.

  • STOP OBAMA NOW!

  • @FreeRealmsLuver Yeah, many soldiers refused to eat it because it was many times full of bugs and mold by the time it got to the troops. Most troops ate more salted pork or beef which also was many times rotten and had bugs. If they got lucky they could find or buy fruit from civilians which they needed to prevent from getting scurvy.

  • there were bugs in the hard tack so i dont think you want to eat that hard tack

  • the worst part is that hardtack has no mold and is probally still good

  • @Vidiogamereviews you seriously are pissing me off very easily on how ignorant you sound.

First of all, you must instantly assume everyone on the internet is male. Second of all, learn to spell. Blocked.
