hey does anyone know how many cap's it takes to out tank a mothership?

Basical a mothership tanks about 8+k dps in traige the numbers get huge. and basic carrier tank is about 4-5k dps and 8k in traige but those arent cap stable. Dreads do about 3-4k dps. Hope thats what ya watned to know.

Nyx uses 2 reppers or not? And 2x 9600 = 19200? So can't it tank 20k DPS? :P And that is alot! And no experienced Nyx pilot will ever use the Triage module :)

2x9600 over 20 sec cycle tho*( not taking in capital repair systems tho* ) its not like you rep 20k every sec ^^ that would be ungodly.Tank si determined by resistance + repping not jsut repping alone. Motherships have a ton of res hence the high tank. If you would just go off the ammount of hp repped then a carrier with 2 reps would tank as much as a nyx :) If you need more clarification lemme know :)

IMO, local tank on a mom really doesn't matter. Unsupported moms will melt in the face of even a decent dread fleet, no matter their tank. The key is having carriers with capital remote reps, and lots of 'em.

Whether a mom has a 5k or a 100k DPS tank doesn't really matter when up against 100 dreads, which is common in fleets nowadays. It's still gonna die without support

When an SC (not mom any more) is being smashed by a decent sized cap & support fleet it really isn't going to do very well no matter what it has fitted. If they could tank that many caps etc there would be some real issues raised with balance.

For the price of an SC they are not to bad, however they are a prize kill & since they got the buffs etc they got they are becoming a whole lot more common on the battlefield once again which is good for everyone in 0.0/lowsec wars.
