Diagnosed at birth with Sickle Cell Anemia, Joseph Davis Jr. was saved by the stem cell rich cord blood of his newborn brother Isaac. Watch the story and read others at http://cordblood.com/index.asp?id=youtube under the Real People Real Stories section.
“I feel I am completely cured” says Ms. Gianopoulos, “my symptoms have disappeared and I have a recovery of many functions, notably my balance and my muscle strength is all coming (back). Even after six months, I feel like there are good changes happening almost every day. Before, my biggest fear was that the changes wouldn’t (hold). I don’t even worry about having a relapse anymore”. @smithmother People tend to judge & criticize what they DON"T understand!! Do your research, there is plenty of current information on the treatments being used everyday using umbilical cord blood. Look at Mandy, the Yale student, Devin, the 3 year old being treated with umbilical stem cells. They work and more research is being conducted on treatments for cerebral palsy, some cancers and spinal cord injuries... Go to Cord Blood America's website and look under newsroom... Educate yourself!

@kahotstuff01 Do your research... "Free" isn't entirely true.. If they find a match, to use those public stem cells, you have to pay in upwards of $15,000 to be able to get those precious stem cells... So, "free" is very deceiving!

This is a great breakthrough and very real! I know that stem cell transplants are being used for leukemia at this time because I have a relative who received one. This is very real FRED! You obviously have not done YOUR homework. You are ill informed and a great sceptic!

Really Fred ... which company? This treatment has been documented. Cord blood provides berashis stem cells, which have the advantages of both 'adult' and 'embryonic'. They are pluripotent and have made livers, heart valves, lung & liver tissue. They cross the blood/brain barrier & are excellent for gene, enzyme, and drug therapies.

This is just advertizing for an expensive medical procedure that is incredibly rare. Do your homework. Videos like this should make you think twice about the intentions of these companies.
