I have a Toshiba web cam on my deck that snaps an image every hour (during daylight) and puts the images on a server. I took two months of images and used Windows Movie Maker to stitch them together into a time-lapse movie.

Local code requires houses (and decks) to be engineered for a 30 foot snow pack!
