@kahlani I agree! Not many people would have this kind of courage and faith. I wonder if I myself would be able to or would I fail?

"You see I am wearing my finest clothes, for today is my wedding day". Something about that line that gets me.

God bless you Cardinal Fisher!!!

God has blessed Cardinal Fisher, Thomas More and the other martyrs. They have received their reward in His kingdom, I truly believe this.

@UpTheSnakes I think you're right & your reply is interesting. I've encountered this before in catholics & former catholics - that you're either catholic or protestant. To me protestantism was a necessary movement in the christian church, but I'm neither - I'm a methodist, like the rest of my family. I'm devoted to the methodist church, the principles it upholds, and its simple yet wholehearted approach to christian teaching. :-)

@cramtoro Because you'd either get ripped to death by the guards or executed in a much more horrific way later, e.g. hanging, drawing & quartering, or burning. There was no escape from these places, they had gates made of oak & iron, stone walls several metres thick, and guards everywhere. Fisher spares himself a lot of extra pain & indignity by just submitting, & ensures he's remembered for his courage.

he looks like my music tech teacher if he was about 60

@kahlani Trust me, not many. A lot of you tubers talk big, insult and judge other you tubers, they gloat, laugh at people for being different or not as they believe they should be, they masturbate to violent videos and climax on horror film scenes.
But if they themselves had to face death and be executed for what they "believe in", most of them would turn into puddles of squirming mud, cry like newborns and beg for their lives like pussies. Man, woman, doesn't matter.
GOD BLESS YOU CARDINAL FISHER!

I wonder how many you tubers would be ready to face the block for what they believe in. Men like Cardinal Fisher, St Thomas More and Robert Aske were brave bold men. They should be respected and honoured.
