The cold winter air has been a detriment to flying outdoors but with the introduction of all the new ultra micro models from ParkZone and E-flite there has been no let-up for the guys organizing indoor flying sessions all over the county. Club groups have found school gymnasiums, National Guard Armorys, golf domes and storage warehouses are perfect for flying on Friday or Saturday night. It has become so popular in the case of the Champaign Illinois RC club that they even have a contingent that flies on Wednesday mornings in the local armory basketball gym. We popped in with a few models to join the fun. I had a Vapor, Ultra-Micro P-51, mCX and mSR while Matt Andren, ParkZone Product Developer, brought in the new Ultra-Micro J-3 Cub and mCX Tandem Rescue helicopter. There was no break in the action with as many as 9 or 10 models flying constantly. We rounded up a couple guys to see what they were thinking about all of these new Ultra-Micro models and the fun they were having with their friends. The new Cub and Tandem Rescue heli were big hits but it was hard to get people to stop flying long enough to talk about them. When the smoke cleared it was time to go out to lunch and discuss the whole event one more time. You know, there just cant be a better time to get together with friends than an ultra micro RC flying session offers. If you dont have one or more our video might convince you to pick up one and join in.

Watch our video coverage of the fun these guys were having, I hardly had a chance to grab a transmitter away from the guys in order to get a few minutes stick time.
