You know what's funny, is this car still looks modern after 20 years, because of it's shape.

Ahhahaha! The small child getting in the front seat lol. My how times have changed

The wagons lost the black window surrounds in 1988.

@Toyotacrossover When they came out with the 96 models, it looked like they drew the 95 on a balloon and blew it up. They are the ugliest model (next to the short lived 09) model, however I grew used to it and owned a 99. But I agree with you

We used to own a 1995 Ford Taurus Wagon. Even at 115k miles, it was still a great and reliable car to drive. We have sold it to a family friend, it was just to good of a car to junk.

That sounds awesome but here in the states we have pollution laws that make it hard to produce and sell stuff like the Falcon. 5.4 V8 sounds awesome though.

i wish ford had a car like this but station wagons arent in demand anymore but on i dnt like station wagons on the other hand lol, this is the only station wagon i like lol though i dnt like the wagons after 1995

Australia and the rest of the world didn't have to deal with the same pollution and saftery standards that American cars had to have it took years for the rest of the world to catch up in safety standards and emmissions.

I remenber when they brought these to Australia in 1996, i think they sold 3. No match for our homegrown Ford Falcon with rwd and 4.0 l6 or 5.4 V8

I totally agree!!!!
Ford will NEVER, EVER have the success that they once had with the original Taurus. Nowadays, Ford would rather waste time, money, etc., releasing pitiful eyesores that nobody wants like the putrid 2008 Flex, (a leather lined bread box on wheels.)

A new Taurus is coming my friends. There are spy shots of the model and drawings on the internet. Do a search for 2010 Ford Taurus and you will see it is a great looking car!
However, I do agree that Ford will never ever have the success to match the original. The original came out during a time when we were driving cookie cutter boxes and the Taurus/Sable was a completely new design.

Kids rode unbuckled in any seat of the car for 60+ years.

I like the Taurus song. I think it is neat to see commericals from 10 years or so ago.
