At first Barbara and I had to struggle to find the table we were supposed to be on ...

And we landed on the one where the lady, Julie Peel had the most appealing green hat and a boisterous personality whereby she insisted on speaking to the head waiter to give us another bottle of white wine as there was not enough white wine to go round the table.

One of the waiters said that every table had a bottle of white wine and a bottle of red as part of a set menu ... it could not be changed just for our table, and besides, they had poured out a glass of red wine for me already ...

Head waiter arrives and says sumdink similar and I decided that I will have to get involved and negotiate, so I interjected and said with a smile,"Yes, one of your waiters did pour out a glass of red wine for me but I have not touched it, so the ladies would appreciate your exchanging the practically full bottle of red wine for a bottle of white wine which all the ladies on this table prefers to drink."

And hey presto! With our combined efforts, Julie and I got a bottle of white wine for our table. Team work is wonderful! ... and new friends were being made ...

Annie,"Yeah! I'm a banana - yellow on the outside and white on the inside."

Julie,"Yeah! My surname is Peel as in a banana. I'm inside out to you."

How appealing ...
