  • i'm happy for those guys, they lose every single game nowadays. made me happy they at least hold the record for fastest goal

  • Only England could possibly concede a goal from San Marino 10 seconds since the start of the match.

    <3 ~

  • @SuperAddickted It didn't, because Holland won too. That was the last matchday and England would qualify if they won 7-0 and Holland drew with Poland (Or if Holland lost, then England needed a simple win). Holland befeated Poland 3-1, so it didn't make any difference for England any more. :-)

  • @SuperAddickted hahahah really?

  • His uncle Paulie was proud!

  • @SuperAddickted Sorry to disappoint you, but I know far too much England football trivia for my own good - this goal didn't cost Engalnd qualification. England needed to win by seven goals and have the result in the night's other game (Netherlands v Norway, I think) go in our favour. The Netherlands/Norway result didn't go our way, so England's result was academic (though winning 7-1 wouldn't have been enough, you're right).
