Ok, nice vid, but i was wondering if you could help me, i have the newer vertion, and i got a shotgun mic for it, but it wont switch to the external input.

@Slyticoon I am unsure of a newer version the HDMI one? I have  a few mics, I find that if it does not need to have poewer the cam itself will run it, or vica-verca , if it has power etc. would plugin in a extended cable help, or if it has av input trying that way some mics arenot capatable.

@fishycomics Mine is battery powered, and I teseded it and it works. Also, on the screen, when the mic is plugged in, an icon comes up in the bottom right corner that is a "mic" icon with "IN" on it. So that makes me think i have to swich it somehow.

@Slyticoon pluging ajack in should get it to show the icon. 3.0vdc rus asdhc card so guessing the same goes for hte mic, make sure it is 3.0 to 5,vdc cap not 12vdc that is the diffrence I thnk

only own two of the four,

hard to say the kod proforms beter at night over the u10, cannot say for the other two, not a owner.when I find that info then I can comment

ty. spend 5 minutes, got lucky, will edit orginal and modded. understanding why the sound has to be addressed.

Good info Fishy. Too bad Aiptek isn't willing to be upfront about the audio problems.
