I've just read that Billy Joel wrote 'It's my life' about Lewis.. can anybody confirm this?

Richard Lewis has great lookin' long skinny legs-turned me on when I was growing up.
I like his hair-glad he didn't change it(even though he is 60). He is still crushable.

He's so fascinating to watch. I love that he mentioned Larry David.

@RaoulDuke3221968 God I remember shopping for vhs blanks after renting some movies mumbling "SP 2 hrs, LP 4, EP 6..."

one thing I really like about some youtube clips..........that status/time meter at the beginning. :) ah, VHS, our love affair ended too soon........
-
the thing i love about interviews with richard lewis is that they aren't really interviews, they're more like conversations

thanks for uploading this, always looking for videos with Richard Lewis in them

Paul Reiser stole Richard's act years ago. Richard Lewis is a genious, Reiser is a thief and a hack...love ya Lewis
Brilliant. His timing is amazing. He has so many skills. He just weaves one-liners into these stories. Letterman does a great job here of just sitting back and letting him riff. I love the mention of Larry David halfway through. It seems just like a conversation out of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Thanks for this - great in so many ways. They're pretty much peers at this point, Dave having the show notwithstanding. Love that Lewis is hesitating and halting at first, trying to find a way in, and then hits stride. Dave prudishly uncomfortable in a couple of moments. And then of course this is waaay before the show became like a Kraft product or something, and so there's no laugh-track 'sweetening' of the audience reactions, and so on. Love it!
