Christina Högman - Elizabethan Songs
In Darkness Let Me Dwell - John Dowland
Lyric:

In darkness let me dwell; the ground shall sorrow be,
The roof despair, to bar all cheerful light from me;
The walls of marble black, that moist'ned still shall weep;
My music, hellish jarring sounds, to banish friendly sleep.
Thus, wedded to my woes, and bedded in my tomb,
O let me dying live, till death doth come, till death doth come.

In darkness let me dwell!

  • is it possible to upload high notes on YT WITHOUT craks????? NOT POSSIBLE!

    SHAME ob YouTube!

  • @rosaponselleart Ssshhht, calm down, they might close your account again. :)

  • @TURKKNCL

    thank you for your care - but now in this channel everything is under copyright (but with permission) exept rosa ponselle's arias. even caruso is under copyright after almost 100 years. YT really becomes better and better cretinous place. :-)

    r.

  • @rosaponselleart I don’t here any cracks. It’s wonderful. Thank you.

  • @Aetion

    at 2:46, 2:51, 2:59, 3:10 I hear some clinks... :-) the older recordings are more problematical for example rosa ponselle's. Only I know how many tricks must I use to give to her voice acceptable replay in YT. compare it with my Myspace site ("rosaponsellevoice") how big the difference is. I red in forum that the others has the same problem for example with instruments with hight frequencies...

    anyway thaks for your visits at my channel.

    r.

    :-) otherwise my rosa ponselle channel doesn't become well frequented ...people don't know or don't like her much. in a spite of that she has the first voice in opera. everybody begins with callas ( me too) but remains there :-) c'est la vie! :-)))

  • @rosaponselleart Yes, i agreed. You would think they would have addressed these issues. Mind you, i was on my high quality headphone, it gave a me a bit of a shock, may be i could sue them for damages. My ears that is. ; )
