Man, this brings back memories. My family lived over by Putnam Middle School from 90-94 and my Dad used to bring us into Irondale all the time to watch the trains and chase them into the city to the 42nd street crossing. Wish I'd had a camera back then, we got to go into Norris yard and watch them run the freight cars over the hump - and on one memorable occasion, rode one of the trains into the yard while my Dad drove the car in to meet us.
Too bad that that they didn't have a Conrail and Southern locomotive joined together in service.
