We don't have to be prisoners and slaves to a world of horror for humanity any longer!
"We the masses of people are capable of much greater things than this, we are capable of completely and radically changing our circumstances, changing all of society to get rid of circumstances like these. What happens in the world affects us and we can affect the world, and when all is said and done, we can change the whole world, together with people like us, all over the world." - Bob Avakian

BA is pretty right on.

Why do people belive Bob Avakian is trying to establish a personality cult?

@dthomas777 there is no such thing as free in this or any country! find out what real freedom is before you try and tell anyone what you "believe it is, being able to choose one master over another is not freedom! DAMN!
-
@dillinger9999 In this system of Capitalism, the Free Market, and Free Speech, you have the freedom to be as stupid as you possibly can, and to still be free!
-
@dthomas777 a free market to exploit children who ever they want. Capitalism is the true horror
-
The point is that Capitalism & the Free Market are at the core of true freedom, while systems like Socialism enslave. Patrick Henry warned, "Is life dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery." We chose freedom once (at a great cost); let's do so again. Avakian doesn't have a clue!

(...continued) You also talk about "incentives". You seem to think that the incentive to work is the ONLY type of incentive or passion in existence. Everyone is passionate about something, but having to "work" deprives people of their passion for doing the things they love. Even if they have no incentive to work, they're refusing because they have the "incentive" to do what they love instead, such as studying a new language, or perhaps visit a new country.
-
"How much you reap for your labours". That is inherently determined by the type of job you have, and some jobs just yield better results. A decent stock broker, banker, or accountant will always make more money than let's say, an award winning teacher.
In addition, your argument fails to consider "unemployment rates" and "technological unemployment". There are people WILLING to work, but no jobs available. (continued...)
-
@lugia3 No one is "forced" to take part. It's your choice how much you contribute to the free market, and how much you reap for your labors. With socialism you "are" forced to put up with poor results. If you work, but your neighbor doesn't, you all get the same, thereby destroying any incentive. Before Russia broke up, if you wanted gas the pumper had no incentive to pump - too bad. With capitalism, you get a reward for your work, and there is incentive to please the customer, not greed.
-
You call people lazy, but the reality is that they have different priorities. Not everyone is obsessed with making money and playing this stupid game called "capitalism". Everyone on this planet is amazing in their own way, and dedicates their time to doing the things they love. The problem is that capitalism don't let these people do their own things. Capitalism forces people to play the game.
