  • That is a goosebump inducing performance. Awesome. I am also enjoying Cale's - 'A Dream' from Songs for Drella gig. An altogether different performance that next to Cable Hogue shows Cale's versatile genius. Thank you for posting

  • I love you, Cale!

  • the song was introduced by Cale in Cardiff, Wales in 1986 as "two jail birds who were also lovers". Great performance of my favorite live John Cale song.

  • I 'd never thought of this as a parting word to LOU REED but yes I get it now.

  • It's genius, even more dramatized than FOARS version.

  • JC live rock palast is out now on 2 x Cd

  • "And that's why I quit drinking."

Peckinpah's "Ballad of Cable Hogue" is an exercise in monumental self-regard: perhaps that's why it stuck in John's mind as a metaphor for Lou Reed.

  • True. Fantastic show.

  • not only over. also under the piano.
