@StellieStellina You're told light with many reps to increase "tone" right? Light weight means low stress and stimulation of the muscle tissue. Increase the intensity by adding more with a shorter rest period and you'll see great results a lot faster! Keep up the good work, I'll post more videos soon. x
@michaelheatlie thank you so much for replying - I'm so intrigued by the higher weight and lower rep recommendation. As a woman you're told the opposite most of the time, but it most definitely hasn't worked for me! Thanks again.x
@StellieStellina it depends on the individual. For exercises such as shoulder press and dumbbell chest press, you need to select a weight that fatigues you around rep 8, 9, 10, and then 11 and 12 are pretty much the last reps you can do. If you're able to do 13, 14 & 15, then you need to use a heavier weight. For exercises such as split squat with arm raise I would use 2-3 kgs, but always remember that intensity is the key, light weights with lots of reps are non-effective for that purpose. Mike
Fantastic workout, I'm really enjoying your videos. I do lots of exercise, but am not getting the results I want, so I'm hoping your workouts will work for me! I'm a woman of about 5'3", 8st 5lbs, what weight of dumbbell do you recommend?
