  • My wife and I are from the U.S. and we traveled to the Gathering in Edinburgh July, 2009. Although we knew very little about Dougie Maclean, we saw him perform this song, and I will never forget that experience for as long as I'm on this earth.

  • Thanks for the comment Glad you like Dougie and this song its a true gem

  • In standard tuning, does anyone have the chords for this remarkable song? Please share.

  • beautiful

  • I could copy the words of gunneralquist above. . . we did the same, with the same result. He's become our favorite artist, and the Gathering was an amazing experience, made all the more incredible by Dougie's live performance.

  • I just responded about ten minutes ago and then read some previous responses! You visited Glenfarg to go fishing??? My aunt lives in Glenfarg and we've gone there several times. You have no idea how much we Canadians love hearing this stuff and knowing that Dougie is just up the road. We stay at the Royal Dunkeld and rejoice in playing at the park at the bottom of the road on the Tay River with the playground. We love Dunkeld... and then we head of to the Beatrix Potter place nearby...
