Mercutio's Monologue

the issue is that the monologue really doesn't "mean" anything... Mercutio is rambling, ranting, imagining, enjoying himself while teasing his friends. He is entertaining them (more or less) -- there is no specific way it must be played, but the actor must make a conscious choice. sadly, this did not happen here. Judging by her age, I blame the director.

Quite, I have to say that she hasn't read the section of the book before, only memorized the lines. Kind of disappointing in my opinion.

Great memorization...however it doesn't capture the character of Mercutio at all. He's playful, mischevious, and he's messing with Romeo as he speaks this monologue. It's not supposed to be serious.

Oooo. She doen't have a clue as to what this monologue means! Super bad acting.
One day, God will condemn me to hell, and when I get there the devil will be performing amateur Shakespeare.
SHUDDER.
