The DO and DON'T London Signs

This is a v-log from my latest visit to London.
Well i arrived the fifth of November (remember, remember) during Guy Fawkes Night. GFN's festivities
held at least till the 9th November when i left Uk.
Have been in London several times. I have to admitt that i love the Brittish capital,
where i had once more a really "f" great time.
I couldn't stand though from making this video about the thousands of public signs and ads, spread everywhere, telling
you what to do ... and how to behave. Came to my mind a verse of a fav song: "...and when you see a crowd I see a flock". i wanted to shoot many more but i did notice that
people & ... officers were rather feeling
uncomfortable with a man holding a camera (me),
so i just didn't .
So why don't you take your camera and continue the whole story....

Ps. It's funny that in Athens where there aren't many signs like these, eeryone does whatever comes through his mind...lol...

Great video. We are bombarded by signs and announcements telling us what to do, think, feel, eat, drink, watch and who to be afraid of. It sort of reinforces this cult of fear that pervades us all, even though we live in one of the safest nations on the planet.

My wife tried to do a similar thing to your video at East Croydon and got chased away by security staff muttering nonsense about terrorism!

thanks again my friend. i'm glad once more yu liked it. tell your wufe sha has to insist on doing her video . In most cases it's not illegal to take footage at public places. I bet she could make a nice video of security guards yelling at her, that'd be fun. I can give her footage of mine if she wants more than she has captured.

Now you have me thinking of two conflicting human desires and needs.

We need order in our lives, some way to make sense of what goes on, some warning of the dangers that may await the unwary., some guide to marvels that we might miss if someone does not tell us they are there to be seen.

At the same time there is a point beyond which we get too much input, the avoidance of dangers becomes wearisome, and other people's concern for our well-being just seems oppressive. You nailed it here.
