  • Thanks for the reply camaroracer454. Could you tell me what the restrictions for overall wheelbases for trucks in the usa??? Like I said, we are limited up here in Canada with 244 inch WB without a permit, if I'm not mistaken. I love the custom trucks, I just find the space between the bunk and reefer t be huge.

  • @MrCanadarulez I have no idea. Lot's of trucks like this here and there on the road so I assume the trailers are only restricted.

  • What is the point of having it so stretched out like that..beautiful truck with way too much space between the bunk and trailer. I'm canadian so we are restricted to 244 inch wheelbase without having a permit.

  • @MrCanadarulez Attention grabber, truck wouldn't look as "intense" without the wheelbase.

  • @camaroracer454 and when the truck has a longer wheelbase, it is easier to drive and the tractor trailer has a better ride then when the truck isn't stretched. Also, Spread Axles have a better ride because the the weight is distriputed more evenly so when you hit a bump, it's more plush. It looks great too, so it's a win win situation for the truckers lol

  • @WaWagasman Yes. lol

  • @MrCanadarulez They don't have WB restrictions. You can make your truck as long as you want. As long as the frame is strong enough i guess.

  • bad ass

  • @Flores4114 the long wheelbase offers a comfortable ride, and that's about it. It is mainly for looks.

  • hey im sorry if this is a stupid question, im only 16 and barely getting interested in this stuff, but why is there such a long platform between the cabin and where the trailor connects

  • @MrCanadarulez also I do know that Califorina does restrict tractor length to a maxium of 320" just one state that I know of.

  • @MrCanadarulez Hello Im an owner operator and i think I can help, there is really no regulation on the tractor wheel base just to whats practal HOWEVER you may NOT exceede the OVERALL LENGTH of tractor/trailer combo. and I do know that each state has its own regulations manily the bridge laws of corse. And the fedral bridge laws will determine if you need to install a lift axle to make the weight distribution work so I guess there is some regulation.I hope this helps

  • Should have rear steering wheels also to turn on a corner... no ???

  • @MrCanadarulez there is NO restriction on wheelbase of tractors in a tractor semi trailer combination UNLESS some part of the cargo is resting and secured directly to the tractor. In other words a car carrier has a length limit but a tractor with a 5th wheel that supports a trailer, and all of the cargo is inside or on the trailer has no limits except what you can reasonable drive SAFELY

  • if i had a truck like that the cab would definatly have a hot tub and a striper pole
