  • Great job! Stay clean, we rely on people like you in Government...

  • You should pay attention. She was responding to their complaints when they acted like they were innocent and the Democrats were the only ones pushing for earmarks. AKA hypocrisy.

  • 60% of all earmark requests in the omnibus came from Democrats while 40% came from Republicans.

    We have a winner.

  • Brava, Senator McCaskill!

  • So did she not have earmarks in the bills--or in any bill for that matter. For if she did then she is being hypocritical about hypocrisy.

  • She was responding to the Republicans who had attacked the Democrats as though they were completely innocent. That's the point of the speech, clearly.

  • What? Lol. Your silly, uninformed bias is showing.

  • the hipocrisy is bad but that doesn't mean that you should pick out one side who is doing it because it is coming from all parts of the political spectrum

the earmarks in the stimulus bill put in by both sides are ridiculous and we need to cut them out instead of saying that one side or the other is hypocritical when it is both sides

  • It's always easy for the other side not in power to point out things. The democrats are doing to the republicans what the republicans did to them. And the sad thing is, both sides are guilty of the things they are accused of. And it won't change until we the people decide to stop siding with one party or the other and start looking to the right candidate for the job. Not the just the person who is the most charismatic.

  • Look its Christmas, seriously what do you expect?

Get down to the point and simply say +90% of these earmarks are unconstitutional appropriations, period.

They are not "general" they are all extremely "specific" or "local".

"Traffic Light -Piedmont Road and Edmond Road, OK $95,000" - seriously 100k for a traffic light in the middle of nowhere, considering, when four speed limit signs of 25mph or less would suffice. Should we put a Starbucks there for you too?

  • she is such a lightweight with no educational background
