    Now, I'm sure you're only telling people to fuck off because you don't know your history. Bands like Fugazi, Rites of Springs, and Dag Nasty were some of the first bands to be called "emo". 80's bands like them eventually begat bands like Jawbreaker and Sunny Day Real Estate in the 90's and they begat.. well.. whatever the Hell they're calling "emo" these days.
