  • yes, i remember waiting. this poem brings it home. i remember being very tired of waiting...many times.

  • Great write. Love the introduction of the ticking clock when death comes along, seemed to give an air of urgency... an urgency to live, now. Rather than wait for death, we should feel ok with it coming when we least expect it : )

  • To often, it seems, people simply wait for it to start!

  • God, I feel like I've heard this poem a thousand times. I don't mean that in a bad way, just that I'm familiar with the feeling. It's divinely sad and too true.

  • clever

  • Been "Waiting" a long time for another MsWriteNow piece. :-)

Well done, timely and so... now.

  • Fantastic reading, your cool tone throughout effectively accentuated the words to their fullest extent and impact!

  • Very nicely crafted and so true. Always glad to see a new production of yours.

  • Beautifully spoken. Waiting, like happiness, is best when we forget it is happening. Like so many of your poems this is surface simple, but word perfect - it's all in the tenses ;)

  • Krinkle told me about this poem so I faved it! :P
