So here it is, a picture slideshow / vlog of my experience serving as a full-time missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. A lot of people don't know a whole lot about your average Mormon missionary. Most pictures are taken when I had free time. It's discouraged for missionaries to take pictures while doing missionary work, but near the end are the pictures of the Taiwanese people that I grew to love. I put this together for my own collection, but I thought it would be good for others to see.

I served in the Taiwan Kaohsiung mission, 2006-2008. Some people say the 2 years as a missionary is the best 2 years you will live. I say.... well, just watch the video :)

(Ps- Use patience, it is a little long!)

  • Wonderful video! Being a missionary is the best! My husband and I are going to Taiwan next month and will stay there for a year. I am trying to get information about the church and a contact with a member over there. We will be living in Chiayi. Is that part of your mission, or is it part of the Taichung mission?

  • :) The Kaohsiung mission officially combined with the Taichung mission not too long ago, so Taiwan only has two missions, Taipei and Taichung. Chiayi originally was part of my mission. Enjoy your stay! Chiayi was my favorite city in Taiwan, don't forget to try their famous turkey rice! It's on the same road as the Chiayi chapel.

  • i cannot wait to go on my mission!

  • Your video made me super homesick for Taiwan! I served in Taipei back 1986-88. Always wanted to go back, but it hasn't happened yet. It would be awesome to serve there with my wife as senior missionaries. Loved the country, loved the food, loved the experiences, and loved the people most of all.

  • Matter is not Spirit, flesh is not man, and gods are not created by GOD, just like the sun sends forth rays but not suns. I am witness of Spirit, Mind and its capacity to heal human sickness. Because cause and effect is mental it is man's duty to seek and know the truth about himself, to know heaven here and that is done by assuming the consciousness, spirit, Mind that was in Christ Jesus, not Joseph Smith. This is my witness and I have proof positive now. Mormon hypnotism isnt good.

  • @jamiesmeaton probablly because it was more conservative, the church does a lot of things like that. Whenever missionaries can walk or bike they do so.

  • @bmiller4930 It is more the matter of bringing them to the Physician so that they could be healed spiritually. We teach spiritual health more than physical health. And what greater news is there than that of salvation at the Lord's hands. We as members and missionaries are only instruments in the Lord's hands. We invite people to come unto Christ and be healed. There is physical healing as well, but only according to request or prompting of the Spirit. There are small miracles: medicine, help.

  • @whitefallenwings Were any sick people healed? Was matter transcended and the Spirit of Life made manifest? If not, then you did not preach" the good news of the one who healed the sick, raised the dead, cleansed the lepers and casts out devils. Instead, mormons misrepresented the Lord of heaven and earth.

  • nice vid^^
