This was an unhealthy period for art in general. Expressionistic.Ravel,Debussy discovered spanish,negro,Asian influence -it saved them.Rachmaninoff discovered shaped melody an old standby.roslavets and these others: it's not safe.Go to the next period Berg ,Sessions ,Copland variations , there are ghosts in this music trying to be re-born. Give it up its purply substance will kill.Give it up I say!
