The earliest MTG novel I read was The Rath Cycle Anthology; I never read the earlier ones.
The Artifacts Cycle Omnibus I mentioned collects the first part of the Artifacts Cycle (The Thran, The Brothers War). The second Omnibus was released recently and includes the rest of the artifacts cycle (Planeswalker, Bloodlines, Time Streams).

I Love the opening to this vid!!!

Nope. WotC only releases them to American book stores now. You'd have to buy it online.

They're releasing another Artifact Cycle Ominbus that has the last three books in it--Planeswalker, Time Streams, and Bloodlines.

I'll read another Magic novel when it comes in a Fat Pack, like it SHOULD. While I've not bothered to read Beyer's work (for that reason), everyone else's responses make me feel I would cling to the writings of McGough and Herndon.

yeah, I don't know about that. All I can say is, with the newer novels like Timespiral and Lorwyn, your going to be very disapointed.

While the attempt was nobel, the editor at WotC should be fired for letting this drivel get published. Beyer simply cannot write. The mini-chapter format sucked, poor character development and just generally bad dialogue made this one of the worst Magic books to date.
One of the best planes WotC has come up with in years, some of the best characters (Bolas, Sarken Vol) and he couldn't even make it worth reading.

dude, I just looked to see what Artifact Cycle Omnibuses is and I'm disgusted. Its just The Thran, and The Brothers War in one book.
how cheap can they get? I thought this was going to be the Brothers war, but either redone, or from an everyday soilders perspective. I know its been a while since the book was released, but come on.
I'm quite upset that the full novels aren't put in the fat packs anymore. :(

Calm down. Newer players like myself never got a chance to buy those novels, so I'm totally happy with this re-release. I only hope, they'll be released in Europe, so I can buy 'em...
