Air France 744 departs YUL on 06R

Air France 747-400 departs Montreal's Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport on runway 06R. With today (March 21st) being the first day of spring, I though it would be appropriate to post one of the few winter video's I took at the airport this year. The 2007-2008 season has been a particularly brutal winter with the second highest total snowfall amount ever recorded in Montreal. With all ther snow, there has not been a lot of chances to go spotting this year so this is the only other winter video I will post from this winter season (in addition to the Zoom 757 video)

where do you go to spot airplanes? i live near YUL and ive DREAMED for 5 years to go for a day to see planes... and ive heard that the airfranceA380 has been replaced for the 747... when is it going to come back? i really wish to see it land/takeoff... even though ive flought in it... :) thanks a billion! @YULSpotter

@danz1010 Check out the spotting quides section of the Contrails Aviation Photography website to see where to spot planes around YUL. The Air France A380 has temporarily been replaced with the 747 but the A380 will be back in mid-December.

Nice work. The blanket of snow at Montreal adds a lot of character to this vid for what are among the coolest 747s...those belonging to Air France. I flew on the 8pm YUL-CDG flight (a 747-400) during the summer of 2007. An awesome flight!
