The Japanese government is spending 1.2 billion yen (around 10 million Euro) on whaling in the Southern Ocean. We asked people in Tokyo if they think that's tax money well spent.

  • i agree with this video (very much so)

  • The older Japanese woman said it best . She had whale meat 50 years ago. Exactly . Why is the Japanese Gov. still whaling?. It is like serving deviled eggs at a wedding reception, it is old, nasty dish that is antiquated. Shark Fin soup? Why? Because grandma used to make it? I love my Grandmother but some recipes need to be just lost.

  • 日本は食料の自給率が極端に低いから、安全保障の観点からも、海洋資源をどのように有効活用するのかという問題に税金を使うのは当然のことです。 It is natural for Japan to spend money on how we can utilise the marine resource as Japan's food self-support ratio is quite low. Greenpeace is trying to mislead people to get money by only telling what they want to tell people and depriving people of the chance to think logically.
