Great job Diggity. You aced this in standard tuning. Very impressive.
Most of the comments here are right, the original recording was in Open G, however, it was not standard Open G (DGDGBD). They recorded it with a variant that Syd Barret taught Gilmour: GGDGBB.
It is a very haunting chord that has that very distinct Floyd sound. Give it a shot.
That said, this cover is great.
