Any time you se that turn the amp off and retube it if you do remove tubes in this case push pull take out the middle two or the outer two also you can chk the tubes by lightly tappinh them w/a Pencil it should sound like a tight thunk!! if it is pinging or high pich your tube is going mirophonic and you should replace the Quartet Chk out EuroTubes for JJ tesla's ...double checked matced and the service is 2nd to none

@MrRobGodek ....lol...I was lMAO when I read this".good one!
-
What valves had you put in that?
I heard those Ex-Soviet Reflektor 6P6S (6V6), that are all over Ebay are not rated for the sort of anode & screen-grid voltages encountered in guitar amps. They are restricted to 300V HT and less than that on the screen-grid. Fine in a old radio or DIY amplifier for phono & radio amplification.

Holy crap.... your playing was SOOOOOOO bad that the amp commited suicide... It set itself on fire... man, thats just terrible.....
j/k j/k!!! How did this turn out? Fixed it?

My Sunn 300T used to make a pretty nice light show too. except it was all the power tubes bouncing back from like pink to purple inbetween, and had popping sounds. Scared the shit outta me lol.

YUP!!! Crate Dog shit as usuall !!

It looks like that there's a short in the tube. There has been some new tubes that i have tested not even used that had shorts with them. Change all the tubes and check the voltage .If not,take it to a tech.

Buy set of new tubes, insert new tubes test again... jeez
