Lloyd Doggett knows much more about these issues than the average FOX News viewer.
Doggett co-sponsored a bill in Congress that was aimed at preventing speculation in markets in regards to carbon credits. It was geared more to protect consumers from speculation and market manipulation and to achieve reasonable goals more quickly.
America's Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009 won the vote in Congress and would have - with or without Doggett.

Why did Dog-gut evade property taxes that fund local healthcare for the poor year after year with bogus agricultural exemption loopholes - Farmer Dog-Gut had no cattle and no crops as required.

Dog-gut sez; "we MUST respect MINORITY districts". Then moved into a minority district crushing his hispanic opponent with special interest money.

Abolish his position and give his vote to Barney Frank - they vote exactly the same year after year. TERM LIMITS!

"In hopes of getting a better bill?" How about voting "NO" UNTIL you get a better bill! The number of jobs that will be lost as a result of Cap & Trade will cripple this country. No jobs=No tax revenue=higher unemployment/welfare programs to support the destitute public. This country is already broke; what's left of mfg. jobs will go to China & India-both exempt from Cap & Trade! The taxes and fines in this bill will bankrupt much of remaining industry. Australia woke up, so should the US

The bill is con job, it will destroy American jobs but do nothing to help the environmen.t Doggett needs to be fired.

Texas could lose 135,000 to 277,000 jobs in 2012, the first year of the proposed cap-and-trade regulation. The average Texas household could pay up to an extra $1,136 on household goods and services over a year with a total potential cost to Texas families of 6.9 billion.

nice one. He voted for because he realized the Party of No is truly CRAZY. And because they used faulty logic.
but they don't mind that at all.
