We mix our own henna paste. If you want information on how to prepare henna, you can find a free downloadable e-book at tapdancinglizard -dot- com.

The bags are called "piping bags." They're used for cake decorating. Look up "piping bag" online and you'll find suppliers.

Cut the mylar into ten-inch squares and then cut each square in half at the diagonal.

It's the same plant, so it does the same thing, but it generally isn't sifted as well, and may not be as fresh. This means it may not stain as dark, and the coarser sift can clog the tips of cones and other applicators. Go ahead and buy some if you want henna to practice with - it's certainly cheaper - but when you're ready to do some really great henna, buy Body Art Quality (and yes, I do get mine at Hennapage -dot- com). They also have a lot of tutorials there to answer all your questions!

henna for the hair doesn`t have the same same dye content as henna for body art. It doesn´t stain dark on the skin you need to get body art quality henna.
