@FireSarge30 It's "less than lethal" not "non lethal".. in fact the main company that produces them has come out and said that tazers should not be shot at people above the waste after finding that death by cop increases by 300% in the first 6 months that a department starts to use them. Also the supreme court ruled they are supposed to only be used in situations where you would use a gun.. they are to be used in place of deadly force. Not for compliance as per the supreme court. just fyi

@auscalt - We carried then for awhile in the 80's and were trained to use them as much for control as an impact weapon. Personally never cared for them and prefered the PR24 baton although the Tazer is by far the best non-lethal around.
