We all lift weights guys, stop arguing and just enjoy what you do whether that CF, Oly lifting, bodybuilding or collecting care bears.

@thefoundrycf I love that quote too....it's so true, You have to ATTACK your lifts. You can't have doubt...you can't go in there second guessing. You have to be determine, precise and have a lot of anger in your lift (with a clear mind).

What tune is it?

@freedomsoldier187 - exactly right buddy, if you're a crossfitter you're very likely not going to the olympics as an oly lifter because you're not training toward specificity: the whole idea is that you're good to very good across a diverse range of activities, as opposed to really, really good at one thing at the expense of everything else. I think you've missed the point.

@SlicedSlappy Obviously people who don't do CrossFit aren't going to be able to do a CrossFit workout as well as someone who does. Just like someone who does CrossFit won't be able to clean and jerk 450+ because they don't have a steady everyday focus on O-lifting. I certainly don't like CrossFit and what horrible form they (in most cases) produce, but I definitely have an idea.

I love Coach B's comment at the end.

Nice feeling in that movie.
@armpitpolice You're right, 30 reps fast won't train your for a 1rm, but heavy sets of 5x5, 5x3, and 5x1 will. And we do that too.
Do you go to a local 5k race and tell everyone to stop running b/c their form sucks and jogging around the block won't train them to win?
US weightlifting is virtually a forgotten sport. CF has brought a lot of interest, and if a just a few people get hooked, develop great technique and strength, and help promote the sport then that's a good thing, yes?

@JJ4417 But these people aren't trying to make it to the olympics. They just want look good and feel better and be healthier. Someone tells them that the best way to get fit is to squat snatch their bodyweight until they puke, and they believe it. Classic oly lifting is virtually non existent because it's very difficult and very dangerous. The first time I put 200 kilos over my head, it was the most terrified I had ever been in my life, but that's what kept me safe.
