TERRIBLE QUALITY. You can see the perfect version on my website, bogleech.com, with lots of other animations, artwork and articles about monsters, horror, Halloween and strange biology.

"Mortasheen" is a fictional world inhabited by hundreds of different monsters of my own design, which you can also see on my website (over 300 drawings and counting!)....it was originally proposed as a web game years ago, but I never got that off the ground and just continued to develop the world. It's a little like Pokemon or Digimon, but with focus on gruesome, eerie mutants.

Does anybody know the best way to convert a flash .swf to a quicktime .mov without losing so much color and synch?

  • why doesn't doldrum have upper teeth at 1:02?

  • @WhatsReel I forget, it might have just been a little easier at the time

  • WTF?

  • @Chumblybum What's so WTF about it? It's a bunch of monsters being monsters :)

  • weird. i always imagined doldrum as being a a deep tar-like black. in thec animation, it's lighter and more gray looking.

  • @WhatsReel It was easier to see in gray against the dark backgrounds, but yeah, it would probably be black in person :)

  • Despite that this was supposed to be creepy, I found it rather addorible.

  • This is unbelievably incredible O_O You are a true genius, I simply cannot get over how amazing this video is. I live for things like this...unknown monsters interacting with each other, with no humans in site, and no dialogue.

Also some of the creatures and environments have a very Splatterhouse-esque feeling to them which is amazing to me, as I find that quality is rarely captured so well.

  • I absolutely adore the VampireHeartSquid at the start! I forgot its name though... D:

  • @Akoltin Pestequirm :)

  • I forgot what that one species is called (they look like yellow-eyed baby heads, with worms coming from their mouths).

  • Those are some pretty neat sound effects.
