  • Browning is probably the greatest -all-round figure skater and talent of our time. There's no jump, spin, or blading he can't do perfectly. He moved the sport to a new level, paving the way for the Russian men who mastered his quad, then gained even higher levels of artistry and classic presentation in the early 2000s competitions.

  • @husiatyn I loved sals and loops - definately an edge jumper here. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't remember Scotty Hamilton ever doing 3 loops or 3 flips - he did 3 sal and toe and then straight up to 3 lutz.

  • @npe1 Quite right. Another great skater who lacked a relatively easy jump was Kristi Yamaguchi who couldn't do a sal if her life depended on it.

  • @husiatyn Its funny that some skaters, even top skaters, seem to have one jump that is a nemesis. For Kurt it was the lutz, for Barna and Lambiel the axel, even Plushenko slightly with the flip. For me, it was toe loop. Yes I know most skaters find toe loop the easiest but I hated them and never could do a 3 toe loop - 3 loop and sal yes but not 3 toe. And strangely, one of the commentators here, Toller Cranston, also had trouble with toe loop. He did beuatiful 3 sals & 3 loops but not 3 toe.

  • @11777766 I'm a big fan of Kurt Browning who was an extremely innovative, musical and stylish skater. But in all honesty his nemesis was the Lutz, which he never perfected and eventually dropped from his competative programs.
